Max and Eileen are enjoying a relaxed night at home in their comfortable upper North Shore residence, planning for their much anticipated “Spanish Fiesta”. The “Fiesta” is a much welcome break from the “drudgery” of their lives and their disappointing children – the son who works at the local Video Ezy and the daughter who keeps disappearing on mysterious trips with her strangely wealthy boyfriend. But tonight Max and Eileen are putting that all aside, living it up with dreams of their Spanish adventure. There’s pronunciations to be brushed up on, delicious tapas to be tasted and new Tango steps to try – “Ole !” Then suddenly there is a thump in the basement. A cautionary comedy for a neo-conservative time.
