This collection of travel poems was written mainly on Alex’s travels through Italy in 1995 and his time spent living in South Africa from 1995 to 2000. Subjects include Greta Scacchi, The Lido in Venice and the Springboks as well as a long poem, The Red Dust of Baxter, written after attending the demonstrations at the Baxter Detention Centre in South Australia in 2003.
